Biography

Dr. Santanu Manna is Assistant Professor at the Department of Mathematics, Indian Institute of Technology Indore. Prior to that, he spent around one year as Newton International Fellow by the Royal Society at the School of Computing & Applied Mathematics, Keele University, United Kingdom. He was Post-Doctoral Research Scientist at Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Kolkata during 2015-2016. Dr. Manna received the Ph.D. degree in Applied Mathematics from Indian Institute of Technology (ISM) Dhanbad in 2015. His research interests include partial differential equations, elastic wave propagation, geomechanics, seismic data science & earthquake statistics. He has published more than 25 refereed journal papers of international repute (SCI journals). His publications have more than 446 citations with i10-index 14 & h-index 12 (Google Scholar, March 2023). He has been achieved prestigious fellowship awards like, Newton-Bhabha International Fellowship by The Royal Society, UK & SERB GOI in 2018; National Post-Doctoral Fellowship by SERB, GOI in 2016 and Dr. D.S. Kothari Post-Doctoral Fellowship by UGC, GOI in 2016. He has served on review boards for more than 26 scientific journals and served for scientific committees of various national and international conferences.
